Thought experiments such as the author's are the insight.

One of the distinguishing features of a thought experiment is a lack of implementation details in the domain to which the analogy is applied.

Better not to become bogged down trying to build a faster than light locomotive.


I agree it is a bit self-promoting, but I think the concept itself, as-is, without technical details, is worthy of a HN discussion.
