The idea that right-wing views only exist because of algorithmic assistance is incorrect. Any online space without explicit censorship will inevitably over time become (at least in part) right wing.
X became right wing, not because Elon tuned the algorithms, but because he unbanned a ton of right-wing people whose views people (including myself) find worth listening to.
