I'm lazy and just use Obsidian's Slides core plugin for this:

Previously used mdx-deck but it’s no longer developed. Tried the Marp CLI for the first time the other day and it did the job.

Allows embedding vue-components in slides in addition to markdown, also can install multiple md-vue plugins to add things in (e.g. footnotes, math/latex, etc).
