I am not an AI skeptic, I participate in projects that make it possible to develop and use large language models in languages other than English. However, I am increasingly drawn by specialist large language models, trained to do a specific task well and access a circumscribed dataset, rather than resource-intensive generalist large language models, which sometimes generate spectacular if unreliable output.
(1) I want to call out the coiner of “enshittification” for diluting his message by being on Medium but (2) for once I like the Medium post better than the personal blog because (a) his blog is even more ‘whitespace uber alles’ than Medium and (b) he uses a font that makes Don Knuth look like a good font designer.
Neather I am opposed to idea of artificial artefacts. What distract me that AI bubble came directly after Crypto bubble. No conspiracy theory shits just horny scammers change directions.
