Or write better queries. Messing around with postgresql optimizations to cover up for a framework's shortcomings isn't a great testament to django or the application written using it.


You get it wrong, If changing option makes some query go faster it means PostgreSQL is not doing very good job picking when these optimizations should be applied.

Better queries always help too of course.
