Is this a joke that they think they can become the worlds best employer? They are among the worst in tech. If not in fact then in reputation.

As if ignorance is the reason the culture is the way it is, it is by design.


It’s self reinforcing cultish behavior, such behavior was intentionally pushed to turn staff into fanatical cultists ready to lay down their personal lives for the benefit of the company. It’s self reinforcing because people who are against it leave, so a higher proportion of true believers remain, things get worse so more people leave, etc. Things continue to get worse until you’re left with only the most credulous and sensible people will avoid working there. So long as the company continues to make money there is no reason to stop.
