I think the first Omicron case in Denmark was November 22. Now, 94% of new infections are Omicron (source ssi.dk). It is abundantly clear that it is markedly less dangerous than earlier variants. "Everyone" is getting it and it looks like it might just be the end of the pandemic.
Also, vaccinated are overrepresented in Omicron infections compared to the proportion of the population that is fully vaccinated. A third shot gives a few percentage points benefit relative to being completely unvaxxed (if you don't want to get it).
I probably got it from my vaxxed gf and am grateful. Moderate cough and nothing else. 55 yrs old.
I just got called by contact tracing. They asked about symptoms and said I could go out again 7 days after the positive test and would automatically get the coronapas clearance (health passport) 14 days after my positive test. No need to get tested again (in fact, they said I should not get tested for 12 weeks, because the tests would probably be positive, even though I won't be infectious).
