Hello HN! Blockchain Curated is a weekly cryptocurrency podcast with a twist. I curate the top blockchain-related articles and convert them into audio (real human narration, not text-to-speech). Clear out that Pocket backlog, and subscribe via email, iTunes/Google Play, or your favorite podcast app.

Any recommended books on this topic?

Chemistry nobel Ilya Prigogine has defended the idea beautifully in his books embedding the hard science in a wider humanistic context, including biology, ecology, urbanism, societal, entomology and other examples. He kindled my interest in dynamics and makes a huge effort to be understandable.

Lee Smolin, Time Reborn (although he is unaware of the work of Henri Bergson before him).

I enjoyed "A Beginner's Guide to Reality" by Jim Baggott.

We're basically witnessing the unbundling of cable providers networks and rebundling of content on different platforms and companies. Two steps forward, one step back.

You are extremely talented. Great write up.

A newly discovered favorite of mine is http://stocksy.com - As far as I know it's invite only and/or has a pretty strict approval process for photographers that want to sell on their site. From what I've seen, the quality is often higher than your typical iStock. It's probably a little more expensive than iStock, but nowhere near the cost of Getty where you can spend several hundred to thousands of dollars per photo. The biggest downsides I've noticed so far is that their search/refinement filters are not the best, and they don't have the quantity that other larger stock photo sites do.

Here's an example:

It's short, memorable, and evokes positive emotion.

Such names become much less memorable once there are numerous ones that share the same format.

It can rapidly get to the point where people remember that the name has an -ify or -ly or -joy suffix, but can't remember what the root word was.

I still confuse spotify and shopify regularly when reading headlines quickly even though I know both companies and what they do very well.

But remember that the world out there isn't reading HN, nor is it likely that real customers are going to see multiple companies with the same meme in a particular vertical.
