Absolutely. This feature is such an integral part of a repo that distributes releases that I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention from Github. I, for one, would love to see them provide the checksum for the archives that are published via Releases -- it's not currently available when you create a release and relies on the operator to implement a workaround that creates a digest and publishes it on an external endpoint.

Not even Force Touch is a good example; Android has had getPressure() API since v1.

Huh, TIL. Thanks!

I thought this standard always existed.

Next time you go grocery shopping, use Pinterest for your list . We'll see how long you stick by this statement. :)

This is extreme. I read this article when it made the rounds last year, and I hated it just as much this time around. Disclaimer: I'm a parent, and I love it. I also love being in a relationship with someone I trust and with whom I can talk about 'grown-up' shit.

Granted, there are definitely parents who hover, worry, or interfere with their kids', but, at least in the circles I run in, these are the exception more than the rule and most certainly don't represent parents (or marriages) at large.

Indeed, creativity is the inevitable conclusion I come to when I read diatribes like this. I could expend countless hours wondering, plotting, and diagramming any number of potential (non-scientific) explanations for life as we know it, as well as our eventual, mutual destination.

These explanations would also be creative; the primary reason I don't do this is because I have far more interesting and important things with which I choose to concern myself.

To be fair, I do respect him for his adeptness at being able to think abstractly, but his presenting these ideas to scorn on atheists as if they're somehow in the absolute wrong because of not considering the more esoteric Aquinas ideas of God, is disingenuous. In all honesty, he would be rightfully dismissed by most atheists as begging the question.

As I said, theological noncognitivism - it's not worth debating God because there is no definition of him/her/it. Classical theist, pantheist, pandeist, panentheist, henotheist, deist, pandeist, maltheist, personal God... at any given point in a debate people will start backtracking on different interpretations with radically different consequences if they are valid, yet still somehow conclude Christianity must be true after all of them.

I remember using Linux on a laptop; <sarcasm>everything worked so well without any tweaking whatsoever.</sarcasm>

I've spent the last two years working remotely. Everything that's been said here is great. I'd especially +1 the comments advising to keep up a daily routine (shower, get dressed, etc); there were days I forgot to brush my teeth because it was so easy to sit down, start coding...8 hours later and you get it.

Also, make sure you deduct the working space. Whether its in your own residence or pay for something like a co-working space, it's tax-deductible.

Exactly. I'm in the middle of a cross-country relocation because we decided that the bay area is just too damn expensive for its own good. Since I telecommute exclusively anyway, the move was a no-brainer once we sold ourselves on the idea of leaving the area.
