Works fine for me in the UK (M247), but when I use a German (Telecom) connection or UK (Plusnet) they are blocked.

That would be "grilling" in most parts of the world

No way. Grilling implies the heat comes from below while the food sits on a grill, as opposed to broiling where the heat comes from above. Neither is a perfect description of humans cooking due to global warming, but our heat definitely comes from above.

I would recommend getting your ham radio licence. When covid hit last year and then lockdown, I found out in the UK you could take the exam online. It's a few multiple guess questions. The first level (foundation) is really quite easy, I think its similar in the USA.

Here's my Signal proxy, I hope it helps someone:

What happened a few years ago to the iOS version, it was suddenly withdrawn from the App Store.

It would be nice to have USB C at one end and normal USB at the other.

Yeah, for the moment at least USB-C isn't universal enough that I'd be comfortable carrying a key that _only_ works with devices that have USB-C ports. Maybe in a few years...

I recently bought a new Yubikey 4 Nano, and it came with a USB-C adapter that holds on very nicely (as in, the adapter hasn't accidentally come off the Yubikey while in my pocket). It's a good choice if you need to use your Yubikey with any non-USB-C devices.

I was a total novice, I got a copy of The Naked Trader, read it on the bus and now have made quite a lot of profit using the easy to understand tips.

Aha, glad I scrolled down, I was about to suggest this book also. It's the only one I've read where I actually remembered the trading tips the next day. It's got a very easy style, and good for the total novice.

I never got as far as actually playing the market though...

How have your personal returns compared to the total market return?

Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software" by Charles Petzold. The best book I've ever read.

I find it shocking that out of eight million comments, the top book is only mentioned ~50 times, but the parent comment illustrates why -- many people mention title/author pairs without linking to the book itself.

Could (should?) be a class for teenagers of all kind. Sure the gradual creation of morse code could make them thrilled.

The replies to this comment are all endorsements as well and as such would not get picked up by this web-scraping. Great book though. Amazon link intentionally omitted

It's the best book to recommend for people who want a rapid introduction to computers that really provides some understanding.

It really is outstanding.

I completely agree, this book is fantastic. I read it in high school and I've been meaning to re-read it ever since.
