Exactly what you think - pops out a cup holder

D'uh, thanks! That did not occur to me at all to be honest. But it does make sense.

They just announced the end of their fleet editor

Yeah, and that they are pivoting it to an agent first editor.

https://air.dev/ provides more info, for anyone who's intrigued.

After fleet fiasco? No thanks.

I heard really good things about Zed, lol. I’m with you. I canceled my jetbrains subscription a couple years ago and I have no intention of returning. They have been superseded and are no longer a relevant company. AI has made them obsolete.

Atlassian is next…

But you only need to record your song once and get money forever. Nobody pays me per function invocation in production, that would be very nice

You can also install uBlock Origin on Edge for Android btw.

Edge for Android also has (limited) extension support. It only supports a subset of extensions, but I am using uBlock Origin (full version, although _lite_ is also available), Sponsorblock and Dark Reader for example.

I just unlocked the bootloader on my Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 today (which was a nightmare to do btw.). Why did I unlock it? The device has nice hardware, but is stuck with Android 13 and does not get any security updates either, so flashing a custom ROM is my only chance of having an up-to-date device.

Next step will be to try PostmarketOS and see how that goes

The cursor being captured when hovering buttons is the worst UI I've seen in a very long time

It's what iPad does when you use a mouse. https://web.archive.org/web/20200602200001/https://www.apple...

Is that meant to be an argument in favor of it? That it's what the iPad does for the extremely rare case of a user using a mouse with it?

Just information. I don’t know rare this case is, I use my iPad mostly with magic keyboard which has a touchpad.

Honestly it doesn’t bother me at all because it only applies to UI elements and not the websites link or buttons.

It sucks on there too. Thankfully it can be toned down/disabled there.

This is, for all I care, on par with sites that mess with scrolling.

I sort of understand this being used on artistic or playful sites, or ones to show off tech, sure. On a document that talks about usability? Feels like satire.

I honestly do not know if I have any screen that supports HDR. At least I've never noticed any improved image quality when viewing HDR video content and compare the image on my M3 Macbook Pro screen vs. an old external IPS monitor. Maybe my eyes are just broken?

Yeah but even if your app is the new Uber for dogs the goal should still be to let users accomplish their task as fast as possible and not some app engagement metric.

Its not always that easy. I specifically bought a Zenfone 9 due to its small size and unlockable bootloader. Guess what - Asus removed the bootloader unlock tool after I purchased the device. Can't trust anyone these days
